Use of WMD's Specifically Chemical Weapons By Terrorists Inside The United States May Be Imminent

Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) are in the hands of terrorists and have been used for some time in attempts to cause wide spread destruction and instill fear.

May 16,2004 marks an ominous day in the war on terror. For that is the day that terrorists first used a chemical weapon in battle, and used by a non state or in other words not by a direct Government.

Though this incident only caused a "slight exposure" to two Unites States, explosives ordinance disposal technicians, it was designed to kill thousands. Had this weapon gone off as intended it would have spread a fatal cloud of GB (Sarin) over a dozen city blocks and would have caused the death of Iraqi civilians, and 3,000 coalition troops stationed nearby at camp Victory. The 155mm shell contained one gallon of the agent, though it was not known at the time.

Since May 16 2004 there have been at least six other attacks against coalition forces in which some chemical agent was involved. All were WMD's of Saddam Hussein's pre-Gulf War arsenal.

In 2005 U.S. troops conducted a raid on a warehouse in the city of Mosul. During the raid they discovered a weapons factory that held 1500 gallons of chemical agents and precursors to create more weapons.

On February 23, 2008 truck bombs containing chlorine gas were detonated inside Baghdad. The poison gas and blast effects killed more than a hundred people.

Al-Qaeda is determined to use these agents against the United States and many security experts and myself feel that such an attack is inevitable.

The terrorists have been experimenting and using various chemical weapons in attacks and are honing their skills and studying the effects of these attacks as well.

Al-Qaeda: New Attack Planned Against US

According to reports, Osama Bin Laden is planning a major attack against the United States. The report goes on to say that the attack will "outdo by far" September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.

Many papers in Italy have also published the report and all point to one source so far as coming from, a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers - quotes a person described as being "very close to al-Qaeda" in Yemen.

According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to "change the face of world politics and economics".

Bali Bombers Executed, Calls For Revenge Made

The three men that were convicted of the 2002 Bali bombings that killed 202 people were executed by firing squad early Sunday morning.

The Bali attacks, which occurred on Oct. 12, 2002, involved two major bombs: one set off inside a nightclub popular with Western tourists in the busy Kuta beach area and another in a truck outside a nearby club that killed dozens of people trying to escape. A third, smaller bomb exploded outside the American Consulate in Denpasar but caused no injuries.

The bombings inspired the Indonesian government to act more forcefully against Islamic militants.

Government officials stepped up security at hotels, shopping centers and embassies in the capital as well as near the prison and in the bombers’ hometowns, anticipating possible retaliatory attacks. Security has also been increased in Bali, where thousands of Australian students are now spending their holidays despite travel warnings issued by the Australian government.

Eighty-eight of the people killed in the Bali bombings were Australians, and though many were expressing relief at the executions many in the Country were also calling for a ban on executions at the same time. Though many feel that the ban should be passed only after the execution of the Bali bombers.

Threats of revenge are being called for after the executions, the Country and City of Bali remain on high alert.

Italian Government Admits To Aiding Terrorists

The former President of Italy has admitted that his country provided Palestinian terror groups with sanctuary and the ability to establish internal bases in a secret pact in which the terrorists pledged not to target Italian interests.

“I always knew, though not by official documents and information kept from me, about the existence of an agreement based on ‘don’t harm me and I won’t harm you’ between the Italian Republic and organizations such as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the PLO,” Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga revealed in a letter to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Cossiga was responding to an interview the newspaper conducted last week with Bassam Abu Sharif, a top Popular Front for the Liberation, or PFLP, leader who claimed Italy provided his group in the 1970s with safe haven in a non-aggression pact.

“The terms of the agreement were that the Palestinian organizations could even maintain armed bases of operation in the country, and they had freedom of entry and exit without being subject to normal police controls, because they were ‘handled’ by the secret services,” Cossiga wrote.

Olympic Terror Threat Posted Online

With only a day left until the opening ceremonies for the Olympic games in China a threat has been posted online by a little known Chinese Islamist group known as Turkistan Islamic Party (TIP), an ethnic Uighur and Muslim organization seeking to create an independent state out of China's heavily Muslim Xinjiang province.

The group has claimed responsibility for a number of recent attacks in the region and are now threating to strike the Olympic games and are warning other Muslims to stay away.
